This research seeks to mitigate and reduce the potential damages generated by the rock fall events in the urban dwellings located between the B-898 route and the Serrano avenue of the commune of Taltal, using as a first filter the geomorphological thresholds defined by Araya-Vergara & Börgel (1972), Young (1972) and Ferrando (1993) which adjusted to the modeling of the slopes and were mitigated by a proposal of scenarios that succeeded in determining the most adequate mitigation works to stabilize the slopes.
